When I used to read the Choose Your Own Adventure books, I kept a finger on the page of every open part of the story. I had to hope it didn’t go eleven deep.

One of my favorite things about video games is a sense of progress. Nothing quite like seeing “23% complete” on the map menu. Puts a spring in my step.

Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a game I just cannot for the life of me want to play. It’s a game about climbing a mountain, and it exists to frustrate you. I’m already frustrated, believe it or not. I’m frustrated trying to make my point right now. I imagine it’s frustrating to read this and wonder what the hell I’m trying to say.
